Brit - Development Coach, Community Partnerships

Brit joined the Ladder team in August 2019 as a Project Officer. Since beginning with Ladder, Brit has kicked a number of goals including working in player engagement, assisting in the delivery of Step Up Online, mentoring and Step Up Latrobe Valley.

Brit reflects the best of Ladder's work, being passionate about both youth work and footy. Brit played in the inaugural AFLW season for Collingwood and continues to be a dedicated and spirited player. Brit first began positively impacting youth prior to joining the Ladder team as a Disability Support Worker. She is developing this passion into a career as she is currently studying a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Criminology.

Brit's favourite part about working with our young people is seeing them achieve their individual goals. Reflecting on her time with Ladder, Brit remembers her first day with the organisation. Brit was asked to call a group of Ladder Alumni to check in on them. Hearing all their accounts of how Ladder had positively changed their lives and their kind words about the program made Brit realise that she was in the right place and had just become a part of something special.

Brit is energetic and full of life. She is constantly bringing a smile to everyone's face and making both the young people and Ladder staff laugh. When Brit isn't in the Ladder office or on the field, you can find her cuddling her two German Shepherds, traveling or spending time with her family.
