Senior Communications and Campaigns Advisor

We are currently seeking to appoint a Senior Communications and Campaigns Advisor who will oversee the delivery of Ladder’s Premiership Cup Pin and 2020 awareness campaign, as well as provide generalist communications support.

The Senior Communications and Campaign Advisor role is responsible for:

  • Planning and implementing deliverables for Ladder’s Premiership Cup Pin fundraising campaign, including working with Ladder partners and AFL/AFLW players to increase the reach and effectiveness of the campaign
  • Overseeing the delivery of a 2020 awareness campaign, including contributing to planning and leading the implementation
  • Leading all internal and external communications, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement
  • Overseeing Ladder’s online presence (website and social media), ensuring content is relevant and engaging and the Ladder online community is actively engaged
  • Sourcing content and overseeing Ladder’s monthly eNewsletters
  • General communications support for Ladder publications and reports
  • Assistance with proactive and reactive free media that highlights Ladder’s work.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Proven track record in successful fundraising / brand awareness campaign planning, delivery and evaluation including effective project management and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences and platforms
  • Experience overseeing and creating content for various communication channels
  • Experience managing proactive media and responding to media requests
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a number of projects at one time
  • Excellent attention to detail.

A current clear VIC Working with Children Check (WWCC), clear National Criminal History Check (NCHC) and current VIC driver’s licence are mandatory for the role.  A tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrated experience in a similar role is required. 

The role tenure is aligned to funding, with the contract up until September 30, 2020.
