Harley joined the Ladder Step Up Latrobe Valley program a few months back because he wanted to get a job and to meet new people. He had a real interest in becoming a landscaper and that it was always something that he wanted to do.

Harley also had a keen interest in the outdoors, fishing, camping and keeping active, so he really enjoyed the outings and different activities that his Development Coaches set out for the group.

Post the Ladder program, Harley used the resume he had created during the program to start applying for jobs. He successfully landed a handyman/landscaper role in his local area.

Harley enjoys his new job and does a variety of tasks including mowing and landscaping, car and truck detailing, home and office cleaning and labour hire.

One thing he learned from the program that helped him get his job was to “just be yourself”.
