Health and wellbeing is one of Ladder’s key program pillars.  The Step Up Latrobe Valley program has been working in partnership with Reclink over the past 12 months to provide a range of sports and recreational activities for our young people to participate in.

Program 23 kicked off last week and as part of their team building exercises they attended the Moe/Newborough Leisure Centre with Reclink. In this session, young people participated in warmup activities and then played dodgeball and basketball knock out. This was a great activity to complete in the second week of the program as it brings participants together to work as part of a team.

These sessions with Reclink provide our young people with the opportunity to improve their physical health, as well as the added benefits of learning new skills and talents by participating in sport and recreational activities. These physical activities compliment the sessions that Ladder delivers to young people on nutrition, personal fitness, and self-care.

Thank you Reclink for the session and we look forward to seeing you again in the coming weeks.
