Program delivery for Step Up Latrobe Valley has been able to continue thanks to the Ladder team ensuring program participants have easy and ready access to technology for online learning.

Local Latrobe Valley Development Coaches have been working tirelessly to ensure that Ladder’s young people have access to resources to take their education, training and employment goals online, delivering a number of laptops to program participants in recent weeks.

Ladder alumni Bailey has previously wanted to study at either university or TAFE, however lacked recourses to do so. Step Up Latrobe Valley were quick to eliminate this barrier by providing him with a laptop so he can study, update his resume and stay connected during this difficult time as well as engage with Ladders online activities.

Work ready processes such as current resume’s, access to job seeking sites and staying connected with the local community are at the forefront of Ladder’s focuses during the current regulations for program Alumni, with Development Coaches ensuring young people are continuously supported after graduating our programs.

In addition to support to program alumni, Step Up Latrobe Valley has been able to continue program delivery to young people through a number of weekly group and individual online sessions, keeping the Ladder community connected and on track to reach their goals despite isolation.
