Ladder Step Up Latrobe Valley is working with Latrobe Streetgames to provide online sporting content to young people in the local community.

Ladder Step Up Latrobe Valley recently teamed up with their neighbours Latrobe Valley Streetgames, where Development Coach, Chris, provided some content for Latrobe Valley Streetgames online segment “Tips and Tricks Thursday."

Chris was requested to answer several prompted questions regarding his sporting life. Chris’s answers were insightful and engaging; focusing on sharing his delight in the confidence he gained throughout his sporting pursuits – attributing this to shaping who he is today.

Chris was passionate in his response and experiences in sport within the community, with particular reference to his role, appreciation and devotion to his local Churchill Football Netball Club where he is entrusted as the Head Coach again for season 2020 after taking them to two Grand Finals and being crowned Premiers in 2019.

Although Chris has been fortunate to be a part of many on field successes over his journey, the message is clear about the reasons he maintains an active lifestyle, encourages everyone to participate in team sports for the benefits of inclusion, sense of community, friendships and more.

Development Coach, Chris, enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with Ladder’s neighbouring organisation and continuing to engage with different members of the local community.

It is great to be able to assist and provide Latrobe Valley Streetgames with some online content through a time where online engagement is critical for our young people”. “We will continue to support online engagement with Youth in our Community and this is another good example of organisations working together”.
