Program 17 kicked off to a great start last week and it was fantastic to engage in face-to-face sessions again.

The first outing for the group was a visit to the town of Walhalla, founded as a gold-mining community in late 1862. The day included a team building activity in the form of a scavenger hunt, as well as a small hike to the old gold mine followed by lunch in the park.

Not only was the day out a great team building and "getting to know you" activity, but it also allowed the young people to tick off some health and wellbeing goals through the kilometres of walking done in the township.

The group had a fun day exploring the history of Walhalla and getting to know the other program participants in a fun way. We look forward to engaging in more outings now that restrictions have been lifted.
