Yesterday Ladder hosted an end of year celebration in Melbourne as an opportunity to thank our stakeholders for their support over the year. Acting CEO Giselle Pinto formally welcomed guests and shared some successful outcomes from the Ladder programs.

“In 2023, Ladder has worked with 138 young people through our Step Up and Reconnect Programs delivered across Victoria and New South Wales, and 85 percent of these young people are now in education, training or employment as a direct result of our support.  This number will grow before the end of the year as we are currently delivering three programs which will finish up just before Christmas.” said Giselle.

At the event, guests also met and heard directly from our young people on how the Ladder program had changed their lives. Ladder Development Coach Ryan hosted a Q&A session with our young people in attendance, who comprised of recent graduates, Alumni program members and one current program participant.

“Ladder was a reaching hand, and I took it” said Cam, who is looking forward to completing the Step Up Latrobe Valley program in a few weeks’ time. Cam bravely shared that before Ladder, he didn’t have any friends and he never went outside of his home. “And now I’m here, talking to you today. This is new for me. This is great!” said Cam, with a newfound confidence in himself.

We would like to thank all our board members, partners and supporters for their unwavering commitment to Ladder so that we are able to continue the work that we do to help young people shape their life trajectories.

We would also like to thank the Perpetual Group for hosting our event at their offices.
