On Tuesday 15th December, Ladder staff came together with carers, caseworkers and families to celebrate the graduation of ten young people through the Ladder Step Up Sydney program.

The event was also attended by Ladder Board Member and GWS Giants AFLW Captain Alicia Eva. Alicia addressed the group, congratulating young people on their commitment to and participation in the Ladder Step Up Sydney program.

Alicia encouraged each young person to reach out to their Ladder Development Coaches over the next 12 months, using these valuable connections for the support and guidance they can offer.

Alicia signed guernseys, donated by the GWS Giants Football Club, which the young people were super excited to wear to school to show their peers.

Young people have reflected on the year that has been with Ladder, with one sharing that "in the past I've not been good at making friends and being at Ladder has taught me I can make good friends".

Another young person added that "I've found a place where I can be myself, and not be fake, because at Ladder I'm accepted for me”.

At Ladder, we are incredibly proud of all that these young people have achieved throughout the program and are excited to watch them continue to kick goals over the next 12 months.

Ladder sincerely thanks all of our supporters who have contributed to the Ladder Step Up Sydney program this year.
