Ladder Step Up Schools

In 2020, Ladder launched the Ladder Step Up Schools program to assist schools to engage and retain students who are at-risk of disengaging from education.

A key element of the program is how Ladder works in partnership with the school community to support students to build positive connections with their peers and improve their skills in critical life domains.

This program was informed by Ladder’s work across the country where it has had enormous success re-engaging young people into mainstream school settings.

Ladder Step Up Schools Program Outcomes

  • 100% of participants would recommend the program to a friend
  • 75% of participants were satisfied with Step Up Schools
  • 75% of participants felt more connected to their community
  • 75% of participants felt a greater sense of belonging
  • 75% of participants felt more belief in themselves
  • 50% of participants felt more knowledgeable of their health and wellbeing
