AFL Players' Association host group mentoring session Ladder program participants were invited to the AFL Players’ Association headquarters this week for a tailor made group mentoring session. Young people engaged in a range of sessions that were delivered by AFLPA staff, along with representatives from their corporate partners Lululemon, Shadforth and TwoPointZero. Ladder Program Officer and AFLW Premiership Captain, Ellie Blackburn was involved in organising the event and attended on the day. “It was fantastic for Ladder program participants to hear and learn from experts about issues that are so relevant to them. “Having these messages reinforced by different people, and by organisations that they respect, goes a long way to ensure that they become embedded, Ms Blackburn said" “Having these messages reinforced by different people, and by organisations that they respect, goes a long way to ensure that they become embedded." The AFLPA presented a session on mental health awareness, Lululemon presented on goal setting and visualisation, Shadforth was responsible for the session on finance and budgeting and TwoPointZero educated the group on resume writing. “The feedback from the program participants was really strong, and reinforces how valuable these sessions and partnerships are. “A sincere thanks to the AFLPA, Lululemon, Shadforth and TwoPointZero for volunteering their time to deliver such an important mentoring session to our program participants.
