Public Transport Victoria launch workplace giving to support Ladder

Public Transport Victoria hosted a morning tea to formally launch its workplace giving in support of Ladder. The workplace giving program allows staff to make regular donations to Ladder from their pre-tax salary.

This event was also an opportunity for PTV staff to hear more about our partnership is enabling Ladder to achieve.

Ladder CEO, Elisabeth Tuckey praised PTV and its staff for their commitment to supporting young people who have experienced or been at-risk of homelessness.

“We were delighted to present to the PTV staff and thank the organisation for its significant contribution to Ladder, and the young people our programs support.

Over 70 PTV staff attended the event where they heard from PTV Director of Communications, Sally Pickering, Ladder CEO, Elisabeth Tuckey, Western Bulldogs Premiership player and Ladder mentor, Jordan Roughead and Nico, a young man from the Ladder Bendigo program. Staff were also shown a video story of Darcy, a young man from the Ladder Geelong program who is coming to the end of his time with Ladder.

“I thank Nico and Darcy for sharing their stories and highlighting the support that Ladder has provided to them and what that has supported them to achieve.

PTV are supporting young people across Victoria through the provision of funding for Ladder Development Coach roles across Victoria.

“Without PTV, we would not be operating in Geelong, Warrnambool or Bendigo and supporting young people such as Darcy as Nico.

“Thank you again PTV. We look forward to working alongside you to continue this important work and support more young people in 2017,” Ms Tuckey said.
